In 2004 Darren Roberts, a deaf man, founded The Auslan Company, the only privately Deaf owned and non-government funded Auslan training organisation in Australia. In 2015 he wrote My Daddy is Deaf which I illustrated. This year we have revised the layout, added a new cover and some new illustrations ready for publication. NAPLAN (the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) are tests of basic skills administered to Australian students. NAPLAN data is used to rank each school’s performance against all other schools.  This cartoon illustrates ‘The rating Game’ in the latest Australian Education Union Journal (South Australia Branch). Author Lara Golding argues that NAPLAN is ‘fatally flawed’.

A comic book ‘intended to provide information which helps children to understand and cope better with their situation’. Designed by Sane Media and illustrated by Simon Kneebone.
