The Sydney International Storytelling Conference, June 6-8, was a gathering of wonderful storytellers. My cartooning at the event illustrated moments from their presentations, workshops and, of course, stories.

The cartoons were auctioned on the last day, the money raised going to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

Concluding the previous post, it’s the legal obligations to the Sámi people that are being conveniently overlooked. The full report – in Swedish – with all of the illustrations can be seen here.

Dimitrios Papalexis, founder and director at Soulgenbuilding social capital, driving social innovation, enhancing community wellbeing – wanted a design that illustrated Asset Based Communiy Development (ABCD) – for T-shirts and other uses.

The final design (above) came together after three ideas (below) were drawn up and put out inviting feedback.

Each book includes a number of cartoon illustrations by cartoonists Angelo Madrid and myself. Some of my illustrations are below.

Independence Educational publishers UK produce Issues a series of high quality cross-curricular resource books for secondary school students. Six new books in the series have just been published: Poverty, Body image, Animal rights, Racism, Ageing and Understanding sexual health. Each book includes a number of cartoon illustrations by cartoonists Angelo Madrid and myself. Some examples of my illustrations are shown below.

Some pages from an easy-English booklet produced by Queensland Advocacy to assist people with an intellectual disability understand the new Queensland Human Rights Act.

Independence Educational Publishers UK  produce Issues, a series of cross-curricular resource books for 14 -18 year olds. Each book (there are currently 70 in print) has a number of cartoon illustrations by three (Australian!) cartoonists – Don Hatcher, Angelo Madrid and me. These are a few of my cartoons from the latest books covering health, eating disorders, housing, child abuse and money issues.
