Artificial coastal lighting is one of the major threats to the turtle population as it can interfere with the turtles’ natural habits and instincts . On the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, the proposed Bargara Golf Club Resort development is expected to disrupt endangered loggerhead turtles’ annual nesting at nearby Mon Repos. Some of the cartoons illustrating articles for the next two issues of The Alternative Law Journal. Topics include Aboriginal Law and Australian Law, the certification of native foods, the global warming protests, the value of wildlife, the non-disclosure culture, gaps in the law regarding students and others on work experience, and lawyers suffering vicarious trauma from their cases.

Independence Educational publishers UK produce Issues a series of high quality cross-curricular resource books for secondary school students. Six new books in the series have just been published: Poverty, Body image, Animal rights, Racism, Ageing and Understanding sexual health. Each book includes a number of cartoon illustrations by cartoonists Angelo Madrid and myself. Some examples of my illustrations are shown below.

Well-being and Care posters for Equitation Science International and Horse SA.  The principles apply to the care of elephants as well as horses.  The information developed (and the posters evolved) from workshops Dr Andrew McLean of ESI held in Asia and Australia. Dr Andrew McLean: “Equitation science is an extremely exciting new field, changing the traditional methods of horse training to a clear, ethical and systematic approach.”
