Independence Educational publishers UK produce Issues a series of high quality cross-curricular resource books for secondary school students. Six new books in the series have just been published: Poverty, Body image, Animal rights, Racism, Ageing and Understanding sexual health. Each book includes a number of cartoon illustrations by cartoonists Angelo Madrid and myself. Some examples of my illustrations are shown below.

Independence Educational Publishers (UK) publish Issues ‘a unique series of cross-curricular resource books for 14- to 18-year-olds. The series explores contemporary social issues, stimulating debate and critical thinking among readers of all levels.‘ As well as other illustrations each book has a number of cartoons specially drawn by cartoonists Angelo Madrid, Don Hatcher and myself. The latest books in the series are Euthanasia, Population Change, The Gender Equality Debate, Crime in the UK, Discussing Abortion and Tourism Today … this last book a little ironic considering the present state of things. Independence Educational Publishers UK  produce Issues, a series of cross-curricular resource books for 14 -18 year olds. Each book (there are currently 70 in print) has a number of cartoon illustrations by three (Australian!) cartoonists – Don Hatcher, Angelo Madrid and me. These are a few of my cartoons from the latest books covering health, eating disorders, housing, child abuse and money issues.

The magazine Australian Options has been appearing four times a year for over 20 years. Issue 84, Spring 2016 is now out with articles on Brexit, the Chilcot Report, the economy, inequality and more. Each issue has a cartoon commentary.

There are three cartoonists involved in illustrating a number of articles in each UK published Issues series resource book for high school students – all Australians: Don Hatcher, Angelo Madrid and me. Above are three examples of mine from the latest set of books.

Independence Educational Publishers, Cambridge UK, produce 6 new resource books in their Issues series, three times a year. Aimed at 14- to 18-year-olds, each book gathers a wide range of information on an important social issue. Titles in the latest set,released this month, are Global Tourism, Gender Equality, Sustainability, Social Class, Discussing Crime and Our Changing Population.
