Independence Educational Publishers (UK) publish Issues ‘a unique series of cross-curricular resource books for 14- to 18-year-olds. The series explores contemporary social issues, stimulating debate and critical thinking among readers of all levels.‘ As well as other illustrations each book has a number of cartoons specially drawn by cartoonists Angelo Madrid, Don Hatcher and myself. The latest books in the series are Euthanasia, Population Change, The Gender Equality Debate, Crime in the UK, Discussing Abortion and Tourism Today … this last book a little ironic considering the present state of things.
