Haven is an exhibition at Gallery M, in Marion, South Australia, of etchings and lino prints, drawings, paintings & ceramics by Pirie Martin, Maryanne Martin & John Martin, and Simon Kneebone. The exhibition is open from the 11th of June. Here are some of my ink and watercolour paintings.
Tomorrow afternoon the Sand Writers launch Speak Out 2019, their latest anthology of prose and poetry about Home. Sand Writers is a writing group located on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. The book is illustrated with art by a number of artists. Here are some of my illustrations for stories and poems in the book.

The Friday Group is a handful of artists that has been meeting for coffee for well over 20 years.We have an exhibition opening on Friday the 14th of June at Gallery M in Marion, Adelaide, South Australia. There are four of us exhibiting, John Martin, Don Hatcher, Allen Hollinshead and myself. These are some of my paintings.

The internet book company The Book Depository has an annual bookmark design competition. If you have bought books from them you will know that they come with interesting bookmarks. Some are handy bits of information (I’ve got ones showing the Periodic Table and the Chinese zodiac), others are little works of art. This was my entry:

Adelaide City Council’s Splash Adelaide has been putting on Summer Fridays in the East End – food, music, entertainment, stalls – and street art. Last Friday the street art was me painting the scene.
At either end of the event are archways, relics of the old East End Markets – fortunately for my painting.
After spending almost 3 hours in the Monet’s Garden exhibition (National Gallery Victoria), I think I now understand what he was on about…
