NAPLAN pic.jpg

NAPLAN (the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) are tests of basic skills administered to Australian students. NAPLAN data is used to rank each school’s performance against all other schools.  This cartoon illustrates ‘The rating Game’ in the latest Australian Education Union Journal (South Australia Branch). Author Lara Golding argues that NAPLAN is ‘fatally flawed’.
