    • I am a current student studying economics, and would love to understand more about your cartoons. I would greatly appreciate if you explained a bit about what you are critiquing and what the relevance of the ‘cost of living floaties’ are.

      • Hi, my thinking was that while there were (and still are!) many real social/community issues in need of budget support, politics will promise a lot of glossy nothing much – especially at election time. In the cartoon I drew these budget promises as colourful inflatable floaties, something just enough to keep desperate people afloat until after the election – ‘time limit and conditions apply’. I hope that helps explain the cartoon!
